Prerana Kulkarni is an Award Winning artist based in Southern California, USA. She loves to create vibrant and colorful paintings using Oil and Watercolor paints. Painting is her passion. She is a self-taught artist and has taken short workshops / online classes with master artists to enhance her skills.

In 2008 Prerana took her first painting workshop in a community college and fell in love with the painting process. She painted using Oil paints  and in impressionist style for the next 8 years or so. In the year 2016, she rediscovered herself with Watercolor painting. She started to experiment on her own, which led to creation of larger size paintings. That got her to exhibit her paintings in National and International Juried shows! Interestingly, her Watercolor paintings are painted in realist style.

She is one of the founder member of an artist's group called MANA (Maharashtrian Artists Of North America), which currently has about 125 members.

Her inspiration is light and color anywhere and everywhere!! She paints pets, flowers, fruits, still life, portraits. Inspiration has always come to her by the beauty of the natural world, as well as fond memories.

Prerana loves to teach and indulge in Live Painting projects.
