Introduction
Watercolor painting is one of the most soothing art forms, but many struggle with blending and layering. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to paint a peaceful landscape using simple techniques.
Supplies Needed
Watercolor paper (300gsm)
Round and flat brushes
Colors: Ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, sap green
A jar of water and tissue paper
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: Lightly sketch the landscape composition.
Step 2: Apply a light wash for the sky using a wet-on-wet technique.
Step 3: Build layers to create depth in the mountains and trees.
Step 4: Use a dry brush technique for texture in the foreground.
Step 5: Add finishing details with a fine brush.
(Insert images of each step)
Bonus Tip
Use masking tape on the edges of the paper for clean, sharp borders.
